One day in AlUla with a private driver

AlUla's main heritage sites are visited through official tours with fixed times, so the practical way to plan your day is to book your site tours first, then arrange the car around them. Admission and site access are separate from the car request.

Hegra

Hegra is Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for more than 110 well-preserved Nabataean tombs carved into the rock, alongside ancient wells and water channels. Visits run through organized tours in private 4x4 vehicles or coaches, self-driving inside the site is not allowed, and the official site recommends booking ahead because daily tour numbers are limited. Share your Hegra reservation time so the transport can be arranged around it.

Jabal Ikmah

Hundreds of inscriptions etched into the rocks earned Jabal Ikmah a place on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register, and the site is known as AlUla's open-air library. Visits run through organized tours that also include the ancient city of Dadan.

AlUla Old Town

A settlement inhabited since the twelfth century, standing on old incense trading routes and on the pilgrimage path from Damascus to Makkah, with narrow lanes of mudbrick houses below a fort that dates to around the tenth century. Guided tours run year-round.

Elephant Rock

Wind and water erosion shaped this sandstone formation into the outline of an elephant, and it is one of the stops that fit naturally at the end of the day.

Planning your day

Book your site tours through the official AlUla channels first and check the season's timings, then send MASAR your hotel, reservation times and passenger count. We check the proposed stops with a transport partner and confirm the vehicle and quote before booking.
