Makkah is the home of revelation and the qibla of Muslims, holding the Sacred Kaaba towards which millions turn in prayer every day. Jeddah, on the Red Sea coast, is the air gateway through which Umrah visitors arrive, at King Abdulaziz International Airport, with direct transport onwards to the holy city.

After a long flight, preparing your arrival in advance saves you from looking for transport while carrying your bags. These practical points cover the ride from the airport to your Makkah hotel.

Arrange your car before you fly.

Once your booking is confirmed, you agree with the trip operator on the meeting point, its time and contact details before your arrival day, so you leave the airport knowing exactly where to go.

Count your luggage before choosing the vehicle.

The number and size of your bags decide which vehicle fits, especially for families. If you are a group or travelling with children, mention your passenger count, bags and need for a child seat when you request, so the trip operator accounts for them in the vehicle and price confirmation.

For groups: one meeting point.

If you arrive on different flights, agree on one meeting point and one departure time to save repeated waiting and coordination.

At the hotel: getting to and from the Haram.

Ask your hotel whether it runs a Haram shuttle and what its schedule is before you rely on it. When you need more flexible timing or travel with elderly family members, ask about a car with a driver.
